Memorial Day Weekend!

We spent Memorial Day Weekend in Sedona, AZ. Neither Chris or I had been and we decided when we moved here to Vegas we were going to take advantage of the fact that we live somewhat close, or closer than we did, to so many fun places. We still have several other places we want to visit but Sedona, AZ- check!

We left Friday night and drove the 4 1/2 hours to Sedona. It's a beautiful place with all the red rocks and green trees and awesome rock formations. We hiked to some Indian Ruins, went on an African Safari, kissed a giraffe, ate good food and enjoyed time away from the hum and drum of our daily life. Although it was CRAZY windy most of the weekend we had fun and definitely want to go back someday.

                                           Palatki Ruins
                                           Cactus Flower
                                           Airport Outlook over Sedona

                                           Ananki Ruins
                                          Montezuma Castle

                                                     Crazy looking animal
                                          Awwwww.....

He was making that cool zebra sound

Notice the fence isn't that high,
animals have escaped in the past!
He was making the hyena laugh.
One of the few white tigers,
which we learned is a mutation
that makes the tiger vicious but
they are at a higher risk for cancer
and diseases and don't live as long.
